Children's Literature

Read, read, read and read some more…… short stories, folklores, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, fantasy and many other types of genre.   What a treat this class was.  I love reading and it was nice to read something other than textbooks.

One of the most important lessons I take from this class is the importance of creating lifelong readers.  I will play an important role in helping younger children take the printed words on a page and make it come to life.  By helping children learn to read, I will be placing the first stone in a long and adventurous winding path that will help them begin a lifetime of learning by reading.
