This course was not offered at the University of New Mexico, Farmington branch in the Fall of 2008. I am relieved
that I only had to take this one course by correspondence. I really prefer the interaction and feedback that a classroom
setting offers.
The
readings from the text did help me gain a better understanding of how we as “educationalist” will encounter children
from all walks of life. My classroom will be a diverse group of children with a wide range of needs and abilities. This
course has shown me how important it is to be flexible in my teaching and the necessity of offering a variety of strategies
to meet the needs of all students.
